Edmund Tudor, 1. Earl of Richmond (* um 1430; † 1. November 1456) war der Vater von König Heinrich VII. von England.
Tudor wurde entweder im Much Hadham Palace in Hertfordshire als Sohn von Owen Tudor und Katharina von Valois (ehemals Frau von König Heinrich V. von England) geboren. Es ist nicht sicher bekannt, ob er legitim geboren wurde, nachdem seine Eltern heimlich geheiratet haben. Seine Mutter starb 1437, aber sein Halbbruder, König Heinrich VI., berücksichtigte ihn, indem er ihn 23. November 1452[1] zum Earl of Richmond machte. 1455 heiratete er Margaret Beaufort, die Tochter von John Beaufort, 1. Herzog von Somerset. Zu der Zeit war sie zwölf Jahre alt und wurde ein Jahr später schwanger.
Mit dem Beginn der Rosenkriege wurde der Earl of Richmond von der Familie Herbert, die sich zum Haus York bekannte, festgenommen. Sie sperrten ihn in Carmarthen Castle in Südwales ein, wo er an der Pest starb. Heinrich Tudor, sein einziges Kind, wurde über zwei Monate nach seinem Tod geboren[2].
