Kaspi (georgisch კასპი, kʼɑspʼɪ) ist eine Stadt in Georgien in Region Innerkartlien. Kaspi ist eine Kreisstadt des gleichnamigen Munizipalitäts. Sie liegt 48 kilometer nordwestlich von Hauptstadt Tiflis zu beiden Seiten des Flusses Lechura. Der Status der Stadt bekam Kaspi im Jahre 1959. Die Archeologische Grabungen beweisen, dass das Stadtsgebiet schon seit der Steinzeit immer besiedelt war. In der Bronzezeit war Kaspi ein bedeutender Ort in damaligen Georgien. Wie ein georgischer Historiker Leonti Mroweli (9. Jahrhundert) schreibt, wurde Stadt Kaspi von einem Georgier – Uplos gegründet. In den historischen georgischen Quellen ist Kaspi neben anderen antiken georgischen Städten, wie Sarkine, Urbnisi und Odsrche genannt[1].
