Henry „Harry“ Welfare (* 20. August 1888 in Liverpool; † 1. September 1966) in Angra dos Reis war ein englischer Fußballspieler und -trainer. Er spielte als Stürmer.[1]

Karriere

Welfare ging nach Brasilien wo er zunächst als Englischlehrer in Rio de Janeiro arbeitete. Dort spielte er bei Fluminense, wo er sehr erfolgreich war. Er erzielte während seiner ganzen Karriere bei Fluminense in 166 Spielen 163 Tore.[2]

Später arbeitete er als Trainer bei Vasco da Gama.
