Stearns-Knight

Stearns-Knight hießen eine Reihe von Luxusautomobilen, die zuerst von der F. B. Stearns Company in den Jahren 1900 bis 1925 gebaut wurden. Nach der Übernahme der Firma durch Willys-Overland wurden die Fahrzeuge noch bis 1929 weiter hergestellt.

Stearns baute als erstes US-amerikanisches Unternehmen ab 1911 Schiebermotoren nach dem System von Charles Yale Knight in seine Autos ein.

Frank Ballou Stearns verkaufte seine Firma 1925 an John North Willys, der sie als nicht integrierte Tochtergesellschaft von Willys-Overland weiterführte.

Die Produktion der Stearns-Knight-Fahrzeuge endete am 20. Dezember 1929.
