Mupfure ist ein Nebenfluss des Mazoe in Simbabwe mit einem beachtlichen Einzugsgebiet um Shamva und Mount Darwin in der Provinz Zentralmaschonland.

Der Fluss ist in der Diskussion, weil er zwei zentrale Probleme der Wasserwirtschaft in Simbabwe exemplarisch aufzeigt: die Frage des Sedimentauffanges und die Wasserrechte für die Bewässerungssysteme, die sich in den vergangenen 25 Jahren verdoppelt haben. In dieser Diskussion fiel der einzigartige Begriff des „virtuellen Wassers“, das zwar nicht vorhanden ist, für das es aber Rechte gibt.
