Michael Dames

Michael Dames (* 1938 in Alexandria, Ägypten) ist ein britischer Geograph und Archäologe (Archäologie Britanniens).

Michael Dames lehrte von 1971 bis 1976 Kunstgeschichte an der Polytechnischen Hochschule Birmingham. 1977 bis 1987 war er in gemeinschaftlichen Kunstprojekten tätig, um die Synthese zwischen Landschaft und menschlicher Gestalt zu zeigen.

Er wurde bekannt durch seine Bücher „Der Silbury Kulturschatz“, „Der Avebury Zyklus“" und „Mythisches Irland“", in denen er die von ihm angeblich wiederentdeckten Kultlandschaften einer Großen Göttin darstellt.
