Approbation

Approbation (von lateinisch approbatio „Billigung“, „Genehmigung“) steht für:

  • die Zulassung und Widerruf zu Heilberufen durch den Staat, siehe Approbationsordnung
  • kirchenrechtliche Approbation, die Bestätigung eines Geistlichen in seinem Amt oder einer kirchlichen Gemeinschaft (Beispiel: Ordensgemeinschaft) nach dem Kirchenrecht
  • päpstliche Approbation, die Zustimmung oder Bestätigung eines Rechtsaktes durch den Papst
  • eine Imprimatur, eine Druckerlaubnis
  • Approbation (Schulbuch), die Genehmigung von Schulbüchern
  • im österreichischen Hochschulwesen die positive Bewertung und Anerkennung einer Diplomarbeit bzw. Dissertation
  • in der österreichischen Amtssprache die Genehmigung von Aktenvorgängen durch einen Vorgesetzen
