Der Aparima River ist ein Fluss in der Region Southland im Süden der Südinsel Neuseelands.

Sein Oberlauf liegt in den Takitimu Mountains, südlich des Lake Te Anau. Er fließt dann für etwa 100 km nach Süden und mündet am Ende der Oreti Beach bei Riverton in die Foveaux Strait. Nördlich von Riverton bildet der Fluss zusammen mit dem Porakino River einen Becken, das nur durch einen schmalen Durchlass mit dem Meer in Verbindung steht. Hier überquert der State Highway 99 den Fluss.

Der Aparima ist einer der zwei Flüsse, die die als Southland Plains bekannte große Alluvialebene abgelagert haben.
