Der Distrikt Ludewa liegt in Tansania und wird auch auf Landkarten mit Rudewa bezeichnet ( z. B. auch auf den Satellitenbildern).

Die Laute L und R zu unterscheiden fällt der Bevölkerung oft schwer. Für den Distrikt setzt sich die LUDEFO (Ludewa Development Foundation) Organisation mit Sitz in Daressalaam ein. LUDEFO unterhält in Deutschland enge Kontakte mit der Afrikahilfe Schondorf, die mit Finanzhilfe, Personalhilfe, sowie Sachmitteln in 33 Containersendungen die Schulentwicklung und das Gesundheitswesen im ganzen Distrikt unterstützt hat. Besondere Hilfe erhielt unter anderem die MSS Madunda Secondary School. Eine der Partnerschulen ist hier das Gymnasium Olching bei München.
