  • als Bestandteil englisch-technischer Fachbegriffe, die nicht immer eine deutsches Gegenstück haben, z. B.:
    • Look and Feel im Sinne von Aussehen und Handhabung, bezeichnet standardisierte Design-Aspekte z. B. für Benutzeroberflächen von Betriebssystemen in der EDV
    • Look-Down-Fähigkeit; die Fähigkeit eines aktiven Radars in Militärflugzeugen Reflexionen unterhalb der eigenen Flughöhe aufzufassen
    • (Carry-)Look-Ahead(-Addierer), ein Paralleladdierer mit Übertragsvorausberechnung in der (technischen) Informatik
