Lani Hall

Lani Hall (* 1. November 1945 in Chicago, Illinois) ist eine US-amerikanische Sängerin. Von 1966 bis 1971 war sie Lead-Sängerin von Sergio Mendes & Brasil ’66. Ab 1985 begab sie sich auf eine Solo-Karriere, bevor sie sich der Erziehung ihrer Tochter widmete. Nebenbei schrieb sie Romane und produzierte eine Fernseh-Dokumentation über ihren Mann Herb Alpert. 1998 kehrte sie mit dem Album „Brasil Nativo“ zur Solo-Karriere zurück.

Zwischen 1972 und 1983 veröffentlichte sie sieben Alben. Für „Es Facil Amar“ bekam sie 1985 einen Grammy.

Lani Hall ist seit 1973 mit Herb Alpert verheiratet und hat eine Tochter.
