Der Kotoka International Airport in Accra ist der größte internationale Flughafen Ghanas. Er hat die Möglichkeit, Flugzeuge bis zur Größe einer Boeing 747-400 aufzunehmen. Der Flughafen war die Hauptbasis der ghanaischen Fluggesellschaft Ghana Airways, die inzwischen durch Ghana International Airlines ersetzt ist. Er ist zudem Heimatflughafen der Antrak Air und eine der drei Hauptbasen der Frachtfluggesellschaft Aerogem Cargo.
Tägliche Flüge ab Kotoka werden von Lufthansa, KLM, British Airways, Emirates, Virgin Atlantic Airways und Alitalia vorgenommen.
2004 eröffnete ein neues Ankunfts- und Abflugsterminal, das dem Flughafen ein vollkommen neues Aussehen gegeben hat. Kotoka International Airport gilt nun als bester internationaler Flughafen Westafrikas.
2004 wurden 806.365 Passagiere abgefertigt.
Der Kotoka International Airport wurde nach Col. (später: Generalmajor) Emmanuel Kotoka benannt.
