Kitaa/Vestgrønland (Westgrönland) war bis 2009 einer der drei Verwaltungsbezirke (amt) von Grönland. Es wohnen fast 90 % der gesamten Bevölkerung auf diesem Gebiet. Der Verwaltungssitz war die grönländische Hauptstadt, Nuuk.

Im Westen grenzte es an die Baffin Bay, Davisstraße, Labradorsee und den Nordatlantik. Im Osten lag der Bezirk Tunu, und im Norden der Bezirk Avanersuaq.

Alle außer dreien der 18 grönländischen Gemeinden lagen in Westgrönland. Diese waren (in Geographischer Reihenfolge, von Süden nach Norden):

Mit Wirksamkeit 1. Januar 2009 wurden im Zuge einer umfassenden Verwaltungsreform die bisherigen Gemeinden und Bezirke durch die vier Großkommunen Qeqqata Kommunia, Kommuneqarfik Sermersooq, Qaasuitsup Kommunia und Kommune Kujalleq ersetzt.
