Keynote

Eine Keynote (engl. für „Grundgedanke“; auch „keynote address“, „keynote speech“) bezeichnet einen herausragend präsentierten Vortrag eines prominenten Redners. Häufig handelt es sich dabei um die Eröffnungsrede einer Tagung.

Die Keynote nimmt die wichtigsten Themen der Tagung oder Messe vorweg. Sofern die Tagung medienwirksam Markantes bietet, wird dies in der Keynote eingeführt und vorgestellt.

Der Begriff findet beispielsweise bei den Vorstellungen neuer Produkte der Firmen Apple oder Google[1] Verwendung.
