Kerygma (von griech. κήρυγμα, kérygma, "Botschaft") ist ein Fachausdruck in der Theologie und bezeichnet ursprünglich die Verkündigung, die einem Taufbewerber zuteil wird, bevor er getauft wird.

Im Gegensatz dazu bezeichnet man die Lehre nach der Taufe mit Didache.

Die Theologie nach Rudolf Bultmann strebt eine Entmythologisierung des Neuen Testaments an. In diesem Zusammenhang wird zwischen dem historischen Jesus von Nazareth und dem kerygmatischen Christus unterschieden.
