Kaska

Die Kaska oder Kaska-Dena sind ein Indianer-Volk (First Nation), die hauptsächlich im nördlichen British Columbia und südöstlichen Yukon in Kanada lebt. Ihre Sprache Kaska gehört zu den athapaskischen Sprachen.

Die Gemeinden der Kaska sind:

  • Ross River, Yukon (Ross River Dena Council)
  • Watson Lake, Yukon und Upper Liard, Yukon (Liard River First Nation)
  • Good Hope Lake, Britisch-Kolumbien (Dease River First Nation)
  • Lower Post, Britisch-Kolumbien nähe dem Watson Lake (Lower Post First Nation)
  • Fort Ware, Britisch-Kolumbien (Kwadacha First Nation)

Die Kaska leben auch in den Gemeinden Britisch-Kolumbiens des Fireside und Munchosees, zwischen dem Watsonsee und Fort Nelson entlang des Alaska Highway.
