Kalamatianos

Kalamatianos ist ein alter griechischer Volkstanz. Seine Besonderheit ist der 7/8-Takt mit dem Rhythmus lang, kurz, kurz im Verhältnis 3:2:2. Eine Kalamatianos Grundschrittfolge wird auf 4 Takte getanzt und stimmt mit der musikalischen Phrase überein. Beim Gitarrespiel zählt man am besten: Eins, Zwei, Drei; Eins, Zwei; Eins, Zwei. Die einfachste Notierung erfolgt durch eine punktierte Viertelnote (=lang) gefolgt von 2x zwei Achteln (= kurz, kurz). Während die Notation für kurz sehr selten variiert wird, findet man für lang auch: Viertel + Achtel, punktierte Achtel + Sechzehntel + Achtel sowie punktierte Achtel + drei Sechzehntel.

Die Zahl der in Deutschland bekannten Kalamatianos-Titel ist extrem gering. Ein Titel mit größerem Bekanntheitsgrad kommt vom Kinderliedermacher Fredrik Vahle, der ein griechisches Lied mit einem deutschen Text als "Kawuras, der Krebs" veröffentlichte. Die Gruppe Karat brachte 1979 den Hit "Gewitterregen" (Musik: Ulrich Swillms, Text Norbert Kaiser) heraus, der im Intro und in den Strophen ebenfalls diesem Rhythmus folgt.
