Der Anaphase-promoting complex (APC) - der Anaphase fördernde Komplex oder das Cyclosom - ist ein Enzymkomplex aus der Familie der Ubiquitin-Ligasen, das den zeitlichen Ablauf der Zellteilung (Mitose) steuert.
Durch Anheften von Ubiquitinresten an Substrate markiert sie diese zum enzymatischen Proteinabbau (Proteolyse) durch das 26S-Proteasom.
Zu den bekanntesten Substraten des Enzyms zählen Cyclin-A, Cyclin-B und Securin, an die während der Mitose in einer zeitlich strikt eingehaltenen Folge Ubiquitin angelagert wird, wodurch sie schließlich abgebaut werden. APC ist damit der molekulare Hauptregulator für den zeitlichen Ablauf der Mitose. Im menschlichen Genom sind einige Hundert Ubiquitinligasen kodiert, was diese zur bisher größten Gruppe von Enzymen macht.
