Für die systematische Einteilung der Lebewesen existieren nebeneinander mehrere Vorschläge. Das hier behandelte Taxon entspricht nicht der gegenwärtig in der deutschsprachigen Wikipedia verwendeten Systematik.

Als Anamnia (von griech. an- = nicht und amnion = Embryonalhülle) wird eine Gruppe von Wirbeltieren bezeichnet, deren Embryonen nicht von einer Embryonalhülle umgeben sind. Im Gegensatz dazu werden Wirbeltiere mit einer Embryonalhülle als Amnioten bezeichnet. Anders als viele Amnioten sind die Anamnia meistens an Wasser gebunden.

In Unterschied zu den Amnioten sind die Anamnia ein klassisches Beispiel für ein paraphyletisches Taxon: Ihr gemeinsamer Vorfahre ist der gemeinsame Vorfahre aller Wirbeltiere.

Die Gruppe umfasst die Amphibien und die ebenfalls paraphyletischen Gruppen der Fische und Kieferlosen (Agnatha) – nach moderner Taxonomie die Amphibien, Knochenfische, Knorpelfische, Neunaugen, Schleimaale und verschiedene ausgestorbene, niedere Wirbeltiergruppen.
