John Wiley & Sons ist ein international tätiger Verlag. Sein Verlagsprogramm konzentriert sich vorrangig auf wissenschaftliche, technische und medizinische Bücher und Zeitschriften in gedruckter und elektronischer Form. Darüber hinaus umfasst es aber auch Fach- und Freizeitliteratur, Lehrbücher und anderes Lehr- und Übungsmaterial für Studenten und Doktoranden sowie für Interessenten aller Altersstufen.

Seit 1996 ist die Weinheimer VCH Verlagsgesellschaft ein Tochterunternehmen von John Wiley & Sons. Im Februar 2007 übernahm Wiley Blackwell Publishing und steigerte damit seinen Jahresumsatz um 36 % auf 1,7 Mrd US-Dollar.
