John Hope, 2. Earl of Hopetoun

John Hope, 2. Earl of Hopetoun (* 7. September 1704; † 12. Februar 1781) war ein britischer Adliger.

Er war der älteste Sohn von Charles Hope, 1. Earl of Hopetoun, und Lady Henrietta Johnstone.

Hope war drei Mal verheiratet. Seine erster Ehe ging er mit Anne Ogilvy, einer Tochter von James Ogilvy, 5. Earl of Findlater, und Lady Elizabeth Hay, am 14. September 1733 ein. Nach deren Tod heiratete er Jane Oliphant († 16. März 1767), Tochter von Robert Oliphant, am 30. Oktober 1762. Seine letzte Ehe ging er mit Lady Elizabeth Leslie († 10. April 1788), Tochter von Alexander Melville, 5. Earl of Leven, und Elizabeth Monypenny, am 10. Juni 1767 ein.

John Hope erbte 1742 beim Tode seines Vaters den Titel eines Earl of Hopetoun. Ferner wurde er 1747 zum Vermögensverwalter (Treuhändler in Lunacy) für seinen Halbonkel, George Johnstone, 4. Earl of Annandale and Hartfell, bestimmt.
