James Wan (* 27. Februar 1977 in Kuching, Malaysia) ist ein australischer Filmregisseur und Drehbuchautor.

Leben

James Wan wuchs in Perth auf und lebt jetzt in Melbourne.

Sein bisher erfolgreichster Film ist Saw (2004), welchen er zusammen mit Leigh Whannell gedreht hat. Für diesen schrieben sie zusammen die Geschichte. Wan war als Executive Producer auch an den Fortsetzungen Saw II, der Ende 2005 anlief, Saw III (2006), Saw IV (2007), Saw V (2008) und Saw VI (2009) beteiligt.
