Das International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS) ist der internationale Rat für Denkmalpflege.
Er wurde 1965 in Warschau in Folge der Unterzeichnung der Charta von Venedig (1964) gegründet und ist eine Unterorganisation der UNESCO. ICOMOS setzt sich ein für Schutz und Pflege von Denkmälern und die Bewahrung des historischen Kulturerbes. Er berät die UNESCO zu denkmalpflegerischen Fragen des Weltkulturerbes. Vor der Ernennung neuer Stätten erstattet er Bericht und gibt Beschlussempfehlungen an das Welterbekomitee ab.
Präsident des ICOMOS ist Michael Petzet, Vizepräsident Jörg Haspel, Landeskonservator von Berlin, Generalsekretär Werner von Trützschler, Abteilungsleiter im Kultusministerium des Freistaates Thüringen
