Geschichte

Die Gesellschaft wurde 1993 gegründet und begann den Flugbetrieb 1994 mit Linienflügen innerhalb Südafrikas. Die nationalen Routen wurden im April 1995 durch internationale Flüge innerhalb Afrikas ersetzt. Die Gesellschaft befindet sich im Besitz von D. Tokoph (Chairman und CEO), J. Attala, M. Attala, P. Attala und V. Nathan (Executive Director). Sie hatte im März 2007 ca. 190 Mitarbeiter.

Von ihrer Heimatbasis OR Tambo International Airport bedient Interair, zum Teil im Code Share mit Air Madagascar, Air Austral und Air Gabon, folgende internationale Ziele:

Ndola, Sambia, St. Denis, Réunion, Antananarivo, Madagaskar, Libreville, Gabun, Brazzaville, Kongo, Cotonou, Benin, Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, Bamako, Mali, N´djamena, Tschad.
