Intravaskulärer Ultraschall (IVUS=Ultraschall der Herzkranzgefäße von innen) ist ein Verfahren der Kardiologie, wobei hier bei einer Herzkatheteruntersuchung die Wandbeschaffenheit der Koronararterien beurteilt werden kann zwecks Risikoeinschätzung, Verlaufskontrolle und Forschung bei Herzkatheteruntersuchungen.
