Der Hot Jazz Club in Münster.

Der Hot Jazz Club ist ein Jazzclub in Münster in Westfalen. Er wurde im Mai 2000 am für Kulturzwecke umgebauten Teil des Binnenhafens der Stadt eröffnet.

In den ersten Jahren traten dort die Musiker Randy Brecker, Al Foster, Larry Coryell, Archie Shepp, Lou Donaldson, tok tok tok, Benny Bailey, Bernard Allison und Paul Kuhn auf. Seit dem Jahr 2005 sind, neben traditionellen Jazz- und Blueskonzerten, auch Musiker aus den Bereichen Funk, Soul, Rock, Pop, Reggae, Ska und elektronischer Musik zu hören. Seitdem spielten auch Bill Evans, Mike Stern, Robben Ford, Dennis Chambers, Hiram Bullock, John Abercrombie, Anthony Jackson, Victor Bailey, Yellowjackets, The Headhunters, Michael Landau, TM Stevens, Ernie Watts, Mark Egan, Hellmut Hattler, Joo Kraus, Wolfgang Haffner, Scott Henderson, James Carter, Bob Mintzer, Brian Auger, Tony Levin, Adrian Belew, Pee Wee Ellis, die Gruppe Kraan, Ray Wilson und Mitglieder der Band Living Colour im Hot Jazz Club.

In Zusammenarbeit mit der städtischen Musikschule, der „Big Band der Westfälischen Schule für Musik“ und dem Kulturamt Münster wird auch der Nachwuchs gefördert. Schüler- und vor allem Schul-Big Bands erhalten in einer eigenen Veranstaltungsreihe monatlich die Möglichkeit öffentlich aufzutreten.

Auf dem jährlich stattfindenden Hafenfest in Münster gestaltet der Hot Jazz Club in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Verein MS Hafen e.V. das musikalische Programm der Jazzbühne.
