Henry F. Phillips

Henry F. Phillips (* 1890; † 1958) war ein US-amerikanischer Geschäftsmann aus Portland, Oregon, der im Jahre 1933 das Patent (US Patent #2,046,343, US Patents #2,046,837 to 2,046,840) für den heute allgemein als Kreuz- oder Phillips-Schraube bekannten Schraubentyp von J. P. Thompson abkaufte.

Der Schraubentyp ist heute weltweit in etwas verbesserter Form am weitesten verbreitet und trägt seinen Namen. Im Jahr 1949 verlor er allerdings das Patent für das Design wieder, da es schon zu oft kopiert wurde.
