All European Academies

Die All European Academies (abgekürzt als ALLEA) ist ein Zusammenschluss von nationalen Akademien der Wissenschaften in Europa.

Organisation

Die "All European Academies" wurde 1994 als Dachverband der europäischen Akademien der Wissenschaft gegründet. 2007 gehören inzwischen 53 europäische Akademien dazu, darunter zum Beispiel die Union der deutschen Akademien der Wissenschaften.

ALLEA fördert die Zusammenarbeit zwischen den Mitgliedsakademien, gibt Stellungnahmen zu wissenschaftlichen und wissenschaftspolitischen Fragen ab und berät Politik, Wissenschaft und Gesellschaft sowie fördert den Austausch von Informationen und Erfahrungen zwischen den europäischen Akademien

Präsident der ALLEA ist seit 2006 der Este Jüri Engelbrecht.
