Alien Boys

Die Alien Boys waren eine Rockgruppe aus Hamburg. Sie existierten von 1987 bis 1994 und waren, obwohl sie sehr gerne dem Grunge-Genre zugerechnet werden, vielmehr eine Band, die sich primär einer zähflüssig-sperrigen, fiesen Sludge-Doom Metal-Spielart verschrieben hatte, garniert durch dezente psychedelische Einflüsse. Besonders aktiv waren sie in den USA. Sie absolvierten dort drei Tourneen und veröffentlichten ihre Platten auf dem kalifornischen Label Rave Records. Ihr drittes und bekanntestes Album Doom Picnic wurde von Jack Endino produziert, der unter anderem mit Nirvana, Soundgarden und Mudhoney gearbeitet hat.
