HMS Barham

Drei Schiffe der Royal Navy trugen den Namen HMS Barham. Namensgeber war Charles Middleton, 1st Baron Barham (1726 − 1813), der im Laufe seines Lebens u.a. Erster Lord der Admiralität war. Diese Schiffe waren:

  • HMS Barham (1811), ein Linienschiff dritten Ranges, das 1834 abgewrackt wurde. Bekannt ist sie u.a. durch die Reise des Schriftstellers Sir Walter Scott, der damit 1831 nach Malta reiste.
  • HMS Barham (1889), ein Kreuzer dritten Ranges, der im Mittelmeer stationiert war und 1914 verschrottet wurde. Sie war Typschiff der Barham-Klasse, ihr einziges Schwesterschiff war die HMS Bellona.
  • HMS Barham (1914), ein Schlachtschiff der Queen-Elizabeth-Klasse, das im Ersten Weltkrieg an der Skagerrakschlacht teilnahm und 1941 vom deutschen U-Boot U 331 im Mittelmeer versenkt wurde.
