Ginger Ale [ˈʤɪnʤɐ ˈeɪɫ] ist ein Softdrink, der seinen Geschmack und seinen Namen der Ingwerwurzel (engl. ginger) verdankt. Es ist ein klassisches Auffüllgetränk. Bekannte Hersteller von Ginger Ale sind z. B. Schweppes oder Canada Dry. Die hellbraune Farbe rührt vom beigesetzten Zuckercouleur her. Trotz seiner Namensverwandtschaft mit der englischen Biersorte Ale handelt es sich beim Ginger Ale nicht um ein durch einen Fermentationsprozess gewonnenes Produkt, sondern um eine Limonade mit Pflanzenauszügen.

Ähnliche Getränke sind das ebenfalls englische Ginger Beer (ursprünglich alkoholhaltig) und die Berliner Fassbrause, die sowohl vom Aussehen als auch vom Geschmack an Ginger Ale erinnern, jedoch allgemein als Kräuterlimonaden gelten.
