Gentofte Kommune [ˈgɛntɔfdə] ist eine dänische Kommune in der Region Hovedstaden.

Der Vorort liegt nördlich der Hauptstadt Kopenhagen und ist achtzehntgrößte Kommune des Landes. Die Fläche beträgt rund 26 km².

Ortsteile sind Charlottenlund, Dyssegård, Hellerup, Ordrup und Vangede. Bedeutende Sehenswürdigkeiten sind u. a. das Schloss Charlottenlund, das Schloss Bernstorff und das Ordrupgaard Museum. Zwei Rennbahnen liegt in der Kommune: Charlottenlund Travbane (Trabrennen) und Klampenborg Væddeløbsbane Galopbanen (Galopprennen)(teilweise in der Lyngby-Taarbæk Kommune). Klampenborg hat auch Bellevue Strandbad und Bellevue Teater.
