Gardiner ist eine Kleinstadt im Kennebec County des US-Bundesstaates Maine. Gemäß der US-Volkszählung 2000 hat der Ort 6.198 Einwohner.

Gardiner liegt am Zusammenfluss des Cobbosseecontee Stream mit dem schiffbaren Kennebec River und war ursprünglich ein Teil von Pittston. 1804 wurde Gardiner selbständig, damals noch unter dem Namen Cobbossee Plantation, größtenteils Eigentum eines Dr. Sylvester Gardiner aus Boston, der mit der Errichtung eines Sägewerks die Grundlage für die Siedlung schuf.
