Im Magazin Extra – Das RTL-Magazin begleitet der Kölner Fernsehsender RTL seit Juli 2004 die deutsche Auswanderer-Familie Reimann aus Hamburg, die sich in Gainesville angesiedelt hat. Mittlerweile wird auch in der Dokusoap Goodbye Deutschland! Die Auswanderer des TV-Senders VOX (welcher ebenfalls zur RTL Group gehört) über diese Familie berichtet.
