Foxborough (auch Foxboro) ist ein Ort im Norfolk County im US-Bundesstaat Massachusetts, 32 km südwestlich von Boston. Im Jahr 2005 zählte der Ort 16.246 Einwohner. Bekannt ist Foxboro vor allem durch das Gillette Stadium, Heimat der New England Patriots (National Football League) und der New England Revolution (Major League Soccer).

Der Ort ist Namensgeber für die Automatisierungsfirma Foxboro.

Geschichte

Die ersten Siedler ließen 1704 in dem heutigen Stadtgebiet nieder. 1778 wurde dann die Stadt gegründet. Benannt ist die Stadt nach Charles James Fox, einem britischen Staatsmann.
