Featuring

Featuring ist ein Ausdruck aus der Musikindustrie und bezeichnet einen nicht als Hauptinterpret aktiven Künstler in einem Lied, einem Album oder einem Auftritt. Die beiden Künstlernamen (seien es Solo-Interpreten oder Bands) werden durch ein feat. oder ft. im Interpretennamen eines jeweiligen Stückes miteinander assoziiert, wobei der Hauptinterpret vor dem „Featuring“-Begriff steht.

Ein ähnlicher und bekannter Begriff in der Musik ist „versus“ (lat.: ‚gegen‘). Meist wird versus allerdings mit vs. abgekürzt. Auch bekannt aus dem Englischen ist die Bezeichnung duet with (zu Deutsch: ‚Duett mit‘). Außerdem wird der Begriff present(s) bzw. introducing für einen bislang unbekannten Feature-Gast verwendet.[1][2][3]
