Die Energy Watch Group ist ein internationales Netzwerk von Wissenschaftlern und Parlamentariern zur Untersuchung der Verfügbarkeit und Verknappung fossiler und atomarer Energieressourcen und für die Untersuchung der Ausbaumöglichkeiten erneuerbarer Energiequellen.

Die Gruppe wurde vom deutschen Grünen-Parlamentarier Hans-Josef Fell gegründet.

Träger des Projektes ist die Ludwig-Bölkow-Stiftung.[1]

Ölfördermaximum

Die Energy Watch Group hat errechnet, dass 2006 das Globale Ölfördermaximum mit 81 Millionen Barrel pro Tag erreicht wurde, die weltweite Ölförderung seither nur noch sinkt und 2020 bei 58 Millionen Barrel liegen wird.[2]
