Ekseption

Ekseption war eine Symphonic-Rock-Formation aus den Niederlanden. Die Gruppe bestand von 1965 bis 1975 und wurde später mehrmals sporadisch wiederbelebt. Vorbild war die englische Rockgruppe The Nice. Vor allem durch ein Arrangement von Beethovens 5. Symphonie wurde die Gruppe bekannt.

Die erste LP Ekseption erschien 1968 und enthielt überwiegend Rock-Neuarrangements von Klassikern, wie von Johann Sebastian Bach.
