Edwinstowe ist ein Dorf im Sherwood Forest, im Norden der Grafschaft Nottinghamshire, England.

Sein Name bedeutet so viel wie Edwin's Ruhestätte. Dies ist zurückzuführen auf die Tatsache, dass der Körper des Königs und Heiligen Edwin in der Kirche des Dorfes versteckt wurde, nachdem er in der Schlacht von Hatfield Chase am 12. Oktober 633 nahe Doncaster fiel.

Der Legende nach soll Robin Hood in der St.-Marys-Kirche in Edwinstowe seine Geliebte Maid Marion geheiratet haben.
