Duke of Bedford (nach dem Ort Bedford in England benannt) ist ein britischer erblicher Adelstitel, der mehrfach in der Peerage of England vergeben wurde. Der Titel wird von der Familie Russell geführt.

Der Familiensitz ist Woburn Abbey bei Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire.

Verleihungen

Die erste Verleihung der Dukedom ging im 14. Jahrhundert an John of Lancaster, den dritten Sohn Heinrichs IV. und späteren Regenten Frankreichs. Weitere Vergaben erfolgten 1470 an George Neville, den Neffen von Richard Neville (genannt Warwick der Königsmacher), sowie 1485 an Jasper Tudor, den Onkel Heinrichs VII..

Heute hält die Familie Russell die Titel eines Earl und Duke of Bedford. John Russell, ein enger Berater Heinrichs VIII. und Eduards VI. wurde 1551 zum Earl of Bedford ernannt, sein Nachkomme William Russell, 5. Earl of Bedford, nach der Glorious Revolution zum Duke.
