Douglas W. Diamond

Douglas W. Diamond (* Oktober 1953) ist ein US-amerikanischer Ökonom. Seine Erklärung der Existenz von Banken ist ein Standardwerk seines Fachs.

Diamond ist Professor an der Graduate School of Business der University of Chicago.

Sein Studium begann er an der Brown University, worauf er an der Yale University in Volkswirtschaftslehre graduierte und promovierte.
