Die George Washington University ist eine Privatuniversität in Washington, D.C., gegründet 1821 als das Columbian College.

College- und akademische Abschlüsse werden in Geisteswissenschaften, Medizin, Gesundheitswissenschaft, Rechtswissenschaft, Ingenieurs- und angewandten Wissenschaften, Erziehungswissenschaft, Betriebswirtschaft und öffentlicher Verwaltung, internationaler Politik und öffentlicher Gesundheitsfürsorge angeboten. Im Herbst 2002 waren 19.206 Studenten immatrikuliert.

Sport

Die Sportteams der George Washington University sind die Colonials. Die Hochschule ist Mitglied in der Atlantic 10 Conference.
