DiözesenDie Church in Wales (walisisch Eglwys yng Nghymru; Kirche in Wales) ist ein Teil der anglikanischen Kirchengemeinschaft und gliedert sich in 6 Diözesen, an deren Spitze der Erzbischof von Wales als Primas steht, mit welchem jedoch anders als in England kein bestimmter Bischofssitz verbunden ist. Sie zählt etwa 120.000 Gläubige.
1920 durch das Britische Parlament für selbständig erklärt und ihres Status als Staatskirche entkleidet – daher auch der heutige Name Church in Wales statt Church of Wales –, unterstand sie bis dahin dem Primas von Canterbury. Zur Zeit trägt Barry Morgan, Bischof von Llandaff, den Titel eines Erzbischofs von Wales und bildet mit den übrigen Bischöfen eine Synode, welche die höchste Instanz dieser Landeskirche bildet. Die Church in Wales ist durch Zugehörigkeit zur High Church des Anglo-Katholizismus gekennzeichnet.
Die Church in Wales ist Mitglied der Porvoo-Gemeinschaft und hat mit diesen Kirchen volle Kirchengemeinschaft vereinbart.
