Young Guns (Go for It) ist ein Lied von Wham! aus dem Jahr 1982, das von George Michael geschrieben und produziert wurde. Es erschien auf dem Album Fantastic.

Geschichte

Durch die Ausstrahlung des Musikvideos auf British Broadcasting Corporation, hatten Wham! bei Top of the Pops einen Gastauftritt. Zuerst erreichte das Lied im Oktober 1982 Platz 40, ging in der darauffolgenden Woche auf Platz 24 und erreichte im November 1982 schließlich Platz 3.

Im Alter von 16 Jahren schrieb George Michael das Lied, als sein Schulfreund Andrew Ridgeley zu der Zeit eine Liebesbeziehung hatte und daher Michael sein damaliges Single-Leben genoss. Der Backgroundgesang stammt von Dee C. Lee und Shirlie Holliman.

Die Veröffentlichung fand am 15. Oktober 1982 statt.
