Worley noise

Worley noise (auch Cell Noise) stelle eine Cellular texture basierte Funktion dar, die von Steven Worley 1996 vorgestellt wurde.

Sie wird in der Computergrafik benutzt, um Texturen wie Stein oder Wasseroberflächen zu simulieren.

Idee des Algorithmus

  • Erstelle zufällig verteilte Punkte im Raum
  • Die Noise-Funktion Fn(x) ist die Distanz zum "n"t nächsten Punkt zu x.
