Walid Khalidi

Walid Khalidi (* 1925 in Jerusalem, Mandatsgebiet Palästina) ist ein palästinensischer Literaturwissenschaftler und Historiker.

Khalidi erwarb den Bachelor of Arts 1945 in London und seinen Master of Literature an der Oxford University. Seit 1976 arbeitet er für die Harvard University. Ebenso ist er Mitbegründer des Institute for Palestine Studies in Beirut. Khalidi proklamierte die These dass der Palästinakrieg aus zwei getrennten Kriegen bestanden habe und machte damit auf den Bürgerkrieg im ehemaligen Mandatsgebiet aufmerksam. Er beschäftigt sich seit den 50er-Jahren mit der Nakba.
