The Borderline ist ein Nachtclub im Londoner Stadtteil Soho. An den Wochentagen wird dort hauptsächlich Livemusik aus den Genres Punk, Rock, Heavy Metal, Hip-Hop, Dance und Jazz präsentiert. Die Sonntage sind vorrangig der Country-Musik gewidmet.

Geschichte

Der Kellerclub im West End existiert seit den frühen 90er Jahren und bietet Platz für maximal 275 Besucher. Besitzer des Clubs ist die Mean Fiddler Company. Der Veranstaltungsort gilt als Talentschmiede, in der viele junge Musiker die Möglichkeit erhalten, ihre Karriere zu beginnen. Im Borderline traten bekannte Bands und Musiker auf, darunter R.E.M., Rage Against the Machine, Pearl Jam, PJ Harvey, The Verve, Ben Harper, Crowded House, Lenny Kravitz, Oasis, Mick Jagger und Eric Clapton.
