Swaziland Railway

Swaziland Railway (auch bekannt als Swazi Rail) ist die staatliche Eisenbahngesellschaft des Königreichs Swasiland.

Beschreibung

Die Swazi Rail unterhält ein Streckennetz von 301 Kilometer Länge,[1] bestehend aus der 1964 eröffneten Strecke von Matsapha Industrial Site in der Nähe von Manzini nach Goba an der Grenze zu Mosambik und einer Strecke, die aus Richtung Durban in Südafrika in Süd-Nord-Richtung nach Komatipoort führt, das ebenfalls in Südafrika liegt.

Die Strecken der Swaziland Railway besitzen eine Spurweite von 1067 mm (Kapspur). Swaziland Railway betreibt keinen Personenverkehr, aber die südafrikanische Bahngesellschaft Transnet Freight Rail (ehemals Spoornet) benutzt einen Teil des Netzes für durchfahrende Personenzüge.
