Chloramine

Chloramine (oder gebundenes Chlor) entstehen durch Reaktion von Chlor mit stickstoffhaltigen Verbindungen. In Schwimmbädern bilden sich Chloramine z. B. durch die Reaktion von Chlor, Harnstoff, Kreatinin und Aminosäuren.[1] Sie verursachen Augenreizungen der Schwimmer und den typischen Schwimmbadgeruch. Im Schwimmbadkreislauf erfolgt der Abbau durch Adsorption an Aktivkohle[2] oder durch Zerlegung mit Ultraviolettstrahlung[3].

Die Verbindung Chloramin T dient als Desinfektionsmittel, Antiseptikum und Desodorans in Medizin und Technik.
