Reminders Day Award

Der Reminders Day Award (ReD-Award) wird seit 2001 einmal im Jahr im Rahmen der Reminder Day Aids Gala in Berlin vergeben. Der Award gilt als besondere Auszeichnung für außerordentliches Engagement im Kampf gegen HIV und AIDS. Ins Leben gerufen wurde die Benefizgala von den beiden Berliner Agenturen Bplus–Gruppe und Etwas Neues Entsteht, die im Rahmen ihrer gemeinnützigen Aktion „Vergessen ist ansteckend“ an die nicht abnehmende Brisanz der noch immer tödlichen Immunschwächekrankheit appellieren. Die Gala ist der krönenden Abschluss des zweitägigen Aidskongresses HIV im Dialog, der jährlich im Roten Rathaus stattfindet. Schirmherr der Reminder Day Aids Gala ist der Regierenden Bürgermeister von Berlin, Klaus Wowereit.
